Shift4 to Provide Payment Gateway Services for Revel
Shift4’s Solution Proves to be a Great Fit for the New Atlantic City Resort
LAS VEGAS (Marketwire) Monday, April 2, 2012 — Shift4 Corporation, the world’s largest independent payment gateway, is excited to have been chosen by Revel, the new 6.4-million-square-foot resort on the beachfront in Atlantic City, NJ. Shift4 will provide payment gateway services to centralize and standardize the payment process for Revel’s nearly two dozen revenue centers of varying industry types, while allowing their leased tenants the freedom to choose their own banks and processors.
Shift4’s experience in multiple-revenue center environments began with the megaresorts of the Las Vegas Strip in the early 1990s. Since those days, Shift4 has grown to provide unparalleled speed and reliability in payment transaction processing to more than 20,000 merchants across North America and the Caribbean.
“Revel is one of the biggest hospitality projects in the nation right now, and Shift4 is proud to be part of it,” said Shift4 CEO Dave Oder.
With their iconic restaurants, top-tier retail venues, and 150,000 square-foot casino, Revel is sure to be one of the busiest and most popular destinations on the eastern seaboard. Shift4 will be handling electronic payment transactions for the property from top to bottom – not just the hotel, but every revenue center – including the lease tenants.
Shift4’s DOLLARS ON THE NET® gateway will allow Revel’s management to monitor and audit all of their internal POS/PMS terminals from one location – and will allow their vendors’ off-site managers to do so remotely from any Internet-connected computer.
“We’re thrilled that a world-class property like Revel has chosen Shift4,” Oder said. “With a project of this magnitude, you know that significant research goes into each and every decision and it’s a great compliment that they considered us the best option.”
The venue is open for a preview period starting today, with an official premiere scheduled for Memorial Day weekend.
Revel, a 6.3 million square foot beachfront property in Atlantic City, will bring a true resort option to the Northeast, enhanced by entertainment and lifestyle offerings created by top performers in daylife, nightlife, theatrical, spa, and experimental programming.
