Shift4 Continues Expansion Into Online Payments
LAS VEGAS (Marketwire) Thursday, March 1, 2012 — Continuing what is expected to be a steady stream of expansions into the card-not-present sector, Shift4 Corporation, the world’s largest independent payment gateway, today announced an integration to Magento, the fastest growing platform in the e-commerce space.
The Magento announcement comes hot on the heels of Shift4’s integration to the Zen Cart shopping cart solution announced a few months ago.
Harnessing Shift4’s patented technologies, the new integration will afford Magento users the security and PCI-scope-reduction benefits of an outsourced tokenization solution while maintaining all the benefits of keeping the customers’ checkout process on their own site.
“We’re excited to bring Shift4’s DOLLARS ON THE NET® gateway and TrueTokenization® to the Magento family of merchants,” said Shift4 CEO Dave Oder. “Magento is doing great things right now and experiencing a lot of growth as a result; we fully expect that this integration will be a source of new business for both organizations.”
In addition to industry-leading security, Shift4’s integration also allows for credit, debit, and gift card transactions, and can accommodate partial authorizations (meaning customers can split the balance between a gift card and a credit or debit card).
In the brick-and-mortar world, Shift4’s pricing structure has always been one of the lowest. Carrying that same low cost-per-transaction fee structure into the historically higher-priced e-commerce environment, Shift4 could save existing Magento clients as much as 50 percent should they opt to switch.
Those who make the change will also gain access to Shift4’s world-class, 24/7 customer support and to a host of accounting, auditing, and fraud control features included with DOLLARS ON THE NET at no additional cost.
Current Shift4 clients who want to integrate their Magento e-commerce solution should contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Those merchants not yet using Shift4 can request more information from email@example.com. Resellers or developers who would like to include this integration in their offerings should contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on our referral program.
