IT'S YOUR CARD offers the ability to create and customize
groups of card numbers based on different marketing programs and state laws.
Card groups can be configured with options, such as:
| Card Valuations |
- Allow customers to purchase cards for
any value (starting with $0 balance) and program value at time of purchase.
- Or, preset the dollar value for a group of cards in one step; racks
of $10 and $25 cards at checkout counter encourage impulse buying.
|
| Expiration |
- End outstanding liabilities created by unused cards in circulation.
- Expire a limited-time promotion or free gift card offer.
- If state law permits, merchant may expire cards upon a period of card
inactivity and retain breakage.

years of dormancy; this represents a ‘passive’ expiration.
|
| Dormancy “Service” Fees |
- Set the amount and start date for monthly service
fees.
- If state law permits, merchant may assess a service fee after a period
of card inactivity to help them reduce outstanding gift card liability
and compensate them for the maintenance of such accounts.

| Pre-activation |
- Activate a group of cards without a corresponding payment, such as for direct mail campaigns.

a database of cardholders for future marketing.
- Some states allow merchants to register cards to cardholders to fulfill
property ownership rights so funds don’t escheat to the state.
|
| Deactivation/Reactivation |
